Although the entire area of Gilgit Baltistan is known for its beautiful landscapes but Skardu and Hunza are the most beautiful valleys which have a unique landscape. Both the valleys are famous for spring for cherry blossom, summer for adventure activities and fall for the autumn colors. On this tour we will explore Skardu and Hunza valley to see the fall foliage.

Day 01 :Islamabad

Arrival at the airport in Islamabad, our guide and drive will meet you upon your arrival at the airport, after meeting and greeting by our staff, they will transfer you to your hotel in Islamabad.

Day 02: Islamabad - Chilas

Drive to Chilas on Karakoram Highway via Kohistan valley along the indus river. Arrive and transfer to the hotel

Day 03: Chilas – Skardu

Drive to Skardu, today we will drive on the narrow road of Skardu along the Indus river, we will pass through some villages where we will witness the cherry / apricot blososm. Arrive in Skardu and transfer to the hotel.

Day 04: Skardu – Khaplu

Drive to Khaplu. en-route we will visit Shigar fort, Shigar valley and the small beautiful villages of Skardu valley. Arrive in Khaplu and transfer to the hotel.

Day 05: Khaplu – Hushe Valley

Drive to Hushe valley, enjoy the cherry and apricot blossom in the beautiful valley.

Day 06: Hushe valley – Skardu

Drive back to Skardu. Arrive and explore the town. Today we will visit Sadpara Lake, the sacred rocks and the local bazaar.

Day 07: Skardu – Passu/Gulmit/Ghulkin

Drive to Passu/Gulmit/Ghulkin, stop en-route at Nanga Parbat view point, junction point of three great mountain ranges, Rakaposhi view point for lunch, after lunch drive to Passu/Gulmit/Ghulkin, arrive and transfer to the hotel.

Day 08: Passu/Gulmit/Ghulkin/Passu Glacier/Passu Suspension Bridge

Day to explore around upper Hunza, today we will visit Passu glacier, Borith Lake, Gulmit Old House and Passu suspension bridge.

Day 09: Khunjerab / Khunjerav Pass – 4693m (Pakistan – China border)

Full day excursion to Khunjerab Pass, in the afternoon drive back and visit Passu, glacier, borith lake, passu suspension bridge, hussaini suspension bridge, ghulkin/gulmit village and gulmit old house.

Day 10: Passu/Gulmit/Ghulkin – Karimabad

Drive to Karimabad, en-route visit Hoper Valley/glacier, arrive and transfer to the hotel.

Day 11: Karimabad

Day to explore around, visit Baltit Fort or Altit Fort, Channel walk and Karaimabad Local market.

Day 12: Karimabad – Besham

Drive back to Besham via Karakoram Highway, short stops en-route for lunch and photography, arrive and transfer to the hotel.

Day 13: Besham – Islamabad – Fly to destination

Drive for Islamabad, en-route short stops for photography, lunch and visit Taxila museum, later drive to Islamabad, arrive and explore the city, later drive to the airport and fly to destination.

The best month to see autumn colors in Skardu and Hunza valley is October, full autumn starts in the reagion from the 2nd week of October and remains till the 2nd week of November.

Both the valleys offers beautiful destinations for autumn photography, in Hunza all villages have their own beauty! our recommendation for autumn photography in Gojal (upper Hunza) will be Ghulkin village, Gulmit, Passu, Khyber, Ghalapan, Khudabad and Moorkhun village. Skardu also offer the best places for autmn photography, our recommendation for Skardu will be Khaplu, Shigar, Machulu and Hushe valley

Gilgit-Baltistan is cold in spring, please carry your warm cloths with you.
