HUNZA & PHANDAR VALLEY AUTUMN TOUR
Day 01: Islamabad
Our guide and driver will pick you at the airport in Islamabad or Lahore and transfer to Hotel in Islamabad for overnight stay.
Day 02: Islamabad – Chilas
Early morning drive to Chilas it takes approximately 10 hours to reach Chilas from Islamabad, This day we will drive on the Karakoram High, which is the highest paved international road in the world. It connects China and Pakistan across the Karakoram mountain range, through the Khunjerab Pass, at an altitude of 4,693-m/15,397 ft as confirmed by both SRTM and multiple GPS readings.
Day 03: Chilas – Passu
Departure for Passu, short stop en-route at Nanga Parbat, junction point of three great mountain ranges and at Rakaposhi view point for lunch, later drive to the hotel in Passu
Day 04: Khunjerab pass (Pakistan/China border)
Day excursion to Khunjerab pass (4693m) the border of China and Pakistan
Day 05: Passu- Hoper Glacier – Karimabad
Departure for Karimabad, en-route we will visit Hoper valley and Glacier, later drive to the hotel in Karimabad
Day 06: Karimabad
Day to explore around, today we will visit Altit Fort, Baltit Fort, Karimabad local bazzar for shopping and in the evening we will drive to Duiker to see the view of Hunza and Nagar valley and the sunset on the mountains!
Day 07: Karimabad – Phundar
Drive to Phundar through the small village on Karakoram Highway and Gizar valley, arrive and transfer to the hotel.
Day 08: Phundar valley
Day to explore the valley/ Day excursion to Shandur pass
Day 09: Phundar – Gilgit
Drive back to Gilgit, arrive and transfer to the hotel
Day 10: Gilgit – Besham
Drive back to Besham on Karakoram Highway (KKH) in route stop over at chilas for lunch and overnight at Besham hotel (approx. 9hrs Drive)
Day 11: Besham – Islamabad – Fly to destination
Drive to Islamabad, en-route we will visit Taxila museum, arrive and explore the city, drive to the airport and fly to destination
